Installation InstructionsInstall House wrap over an approved exterior sheathing in “shingle-lap” fashion with higher courses lapped over lower courses by at least two inches. Vertical seams created by ending one roll and beginning another should have an overlap of at least six inches. When cutting, use scissors.
Attach the House wrap so that it is flat and tight. Start with lower course, two to three feet from the corner and continue nailing or stapling as you move around the house. Fasteners must penetrate the stud or nail base material.
Using R-3 Insultex House Wrap® not only do you get a superior water vapor barrier, but you also add an R-Value of 6 to your wall system. Applied like any other house wrap with no air gap required.
